What is Cyber Hygiene?

Cyber Hygiene is the proactive countermeasures one can take to reduce their risk to acceptable levels while using the internet. This includes the daily practice of good habits such as using a VPN or setting strong passwords that do not include your birthday or kid’s name. Cyber Hygiene also includes using one debit/credit card for all online transactions or reading email sender addresses before opening attachments from senders. The Importance of Data Backups

29% of data loss is accidental & 30% of computers are infected with data corrupting Malware! OQPS highly recommends backing up all important data to at least one other source. A backup is a digital copy of any important file or data. The most common files people tend to backup include personal photos & videos, important financial & legal documents, emails, & contact information. Users will create backups in order to prevent losing the data they care about most, especially since it’s so easy to accidentally delete something.
